Author Guidelines
Bibliography Standards (see: layout instructions for more details)
Spelling & Language: Both American and British spellings are accepted as long as they are consistent. Foreign and Latin words should be italicized. Abbreviations can be used provided they are explained in the beginnnig of the paper. Use "and" rather than "&". Dates must be written as such 1950s.
References: should be listed alphabetically by first author. Three or more authors should be cited as Fynn et al. (2002) or (Fynn et al., 2002). References to papers by the same author(s) in the same year should be distinguished by a, b, c etc. (e.g. 2002a or 2002a). Multiple citations in the text may be given in either alphabetical or chronological order, but the usage should be consistent. Papers that have been accepted for publication can be cited as "in press" and must be accompanied by the name of the journal. References to paper not yet accepted should be cited as "unpublished." Consent and permission must be sought for all personal communications that are cited in the text.
NOTE: Footnotes are preferable to endnotes. If using endnotes, make citations within text e.g., Fynn, 2008).
