Focus and Scope

Journal of Academic and Social Research (JASR) aims to foster original research with a focus on contextualised issues and potential for practical implications in social sciences and education. JASR values research quality as well as problem solving approach. Contributions with in-depth quest and insight into the problem, challenging status quo and proposing a change agenda are valued by JASR. Considering the multidisciplinary nature of knowledge, JASR particularly welcomes inter-disciplinary approach in research to understand and establish a variety of perspectives of knowledge in the complex post-modern era.  In this respect, JASR expects and supports flexible approach towards creativity and accepts a variety of contributions including, but not limited to, original research papers, reportage and book reviews, which have not been published in any form before. The journal may also accept scholarly interviews with known figures, exploring new visions, leadership and reformation in their fields. JASR is a non-profit scholarly research forum that facilitates scholars to have their scholarly work freely accessible worldwide.

We welcome research papers and book reviews on:

Computer Assisted Language Learning(CALL), Critical Discourse Analysis, Cultural Studies, Education Management and Policy, Gender Studies, ICT in Education, English Language and Linguistics, English Literature, Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL), Teacher Education, Curriculum Studies.

Authors may broadly write in one of the above areas of interests with a focus on genuine contribution to the educational and social domain.

 

Peer Review Process

After the submission deadline of each call for papers, manuscripts submitted to Journal of Academic and Social Research (JASR) will go through a review by the editor.  If submitted manuscripts meet the basic requirements of JASR they are sent out for double blind review from experts in the field.  The review process is expected to take 4-6 weeks.The reviewers will provide their feedback on the manuscripts. If the reviewers recommend any recommendations, manuscripts are sent back to the author(s) to address the comments by a required date. This entire review process will take approximately 2- 3 months after submission of manuscript. The editor’s decision is final.

Publication Frequency

Journal of Academic and Social Research is published triannually (April, August, December).

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
