Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Manuscript has followed APA Referencing Style 6th Edition.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts for consideration should be submitted via the Author Manager Submission linkNew users should first create an account. Once logged in to the site, submissions should be made online. Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions. Manuscripts must be submitted in  Microsoft Word document file format. Manuscripts should be anonymized (i.e. author details must not be included inside the Word Doc).

Formatting of the manuscript

1. Layout and font size of the manuscript

  • The margin of the paper should be the normal style in Microsoft Word Doc (2.54 cm) from all sides.
  • Articles should be typed on 1.5 line space, on one side of the A4 paper only.
  • Paper Title: Use 16-point Font Times New Roman, bold caps, centered.
  • Headings: Use 14-point Font Times New Roman, bold caps. Use Arabic numerals for headings and subheadings.
  • Subheadings: Use 14-point Font Times New Roman, bold caps, Italicized. Use Arabic numerals for headings and subheadings.
  • Body text: Use 12-point Font Times New Roman.
  • Lists:
  • Use this style for bullets points  1) Use this style for numbered points 

2. Language

The language of the manuscript must be English (either American or British standard, but not the mixture of both).

3. Length of paper

The length of the article should not exceed 2000 words for a book review (including references) and 8000 words  for an article including tables, figures, references and appendices (if any). Manuscripts exceeding the word limits will be returned to the author(s) to abridge. 

4. Title Page

Paper Title (Use 16-point Font Times New Roman, bold caps, centered)

Please do not provide author’s details in the manuscript. All details, including affiliation, should be provided through the journal site submission.

5. Abstract

(Use 12-point Font Times New Roman, bold caps)

Please provide an abstract of 150 to 200 words. The abstract must be fully justified text, 11-point Font Times New Roman. It should not contain any undefined abbreviations or unspecified references.

6. Keywords

Please provide 4 to 6 keywords.  11-point Font Times New Roman.

7. Acknowledgement

The author may use acknowledgement section in the title page of the paper (if any). The heading should be left justified, bold, with the first letter capitalized but have no numbers, as the above heading. 

8. Subdivision of the article

Divide your article into clearly defined and numbered sections. Subsections should be numbered 1, 2. (then 1.1, 1.1.1, 1.1.2), 1.2, etc. The abstract, acknowledgment and references are not included in section numbering.

9. Table and Figures

Present tables and figures within the article, not at the end of the article. Please note that the article will be published in black and white (print), although online version will contain the colorful figures (if any). However, the color print will be available in extreme cases as per the request of the author.

Table and figure captions

All tables and figures should be numbered with Arabic numerals.

Every table should have a caption. Captions should be placed above tables, left justified, as below.

All photographs, schemas, graphs and diagrams are to be referred to as figures. Every figure should have a caption. Captions should be placed below figures, left justified, as below.

10. References

The journal follows the APA (American Psychological Association) Style for referencing. To learn more about APA Style Referencing Style 6th Edition, please visit this link.

Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa). Avoid citation in the abstract. Unpublished results and personal communications should not be in the reference list, but may be mentioned in the text. Citation of a reference as 'in press' implies that the item has been accepted for publication.

References should be arranged first alphabetically and then further sorted chronologically if necessary.
