Journal Hosting Package

The base package of the Scholarly Exchange® hosting service features:

Hosting of OJS software
• We provide hosting of the Open Journal Systems (OJS) software including routine updates of the software to newer releases.
Full Journal Management Privileges
• You have control over the look and feel of your journal including all configuration choices within the OJS journal management system. The journal may set its own policies regarding: site configuration; guidelines for authors, reviewers and editorial staff; subscriptions or other access models, and; use of standard OJS plugins, reading tools, and any other standard configurable features and functionality.
Data backup services
• We provide daily backups of the journal database securely using advanced AES-265 encryption and off-site datacenters in separate geographic locations.
Technical Support
• We provide technical support for the hosting and maintenance of the server and software platform. Editorial and workflow support is provided by the Public Knowledge Project’s online Open Journal Systems courses, help resources, and an online support forum sustained by a vibrant, global user community.

These services are free for the first year while you get your journal started and then $750 USD per year thereafter.

Publishing System

We use a feature-rich publishing platform that allows journals to fully manage the administrative and editorial aspects of their journal. We also make sure your content never gets lost by providing daily backups.
